We have been actively seeking rental customers in Westchester since we started doing business over 20 years ago. And unlike some other brokers who claim they do rentals but really have little interest in them, we have consistently been successful in finding rental apartments and homes for our prospects. As a result, many landlords turn to us when they have vacancies and we normally have a large inventory for our customers from which to choose.
Information for Tenants
The communities we cover in Westchester are listed on the Westchester Information page. There you will find specific links to sources of information about each community, including, among many other things, school information.
Apartment Rentals
Monthly rental rates cover a wide range in Westchester, but, generally, apartments are renting currently within the following ranges: studios and 1 bedrooms $800 to $1,990; 2 bedrooms $1,526 to $3,217; 3 bedrooms $2,000 to $4,675 and houses in the range of $2,850 to $9,000.
For information on some of the apartments we currently have listed for rent, please click on the "Featrued Rentals" link to the left. In addition to these units, rentals being marketed through our Multiple List System can be found by using the Quick Search box above.
Our commission for brokering the rental of a unit listed on the Multiple List System will be paid by the owner of the unit. You will be required to pay our commission (which is equal to one month's rent), on most apartments marketed outside the Multiple List System, but only if you actually rent. If, in the case of any given unit listed there, the owner will pay our commission, that fact is noted on the listing, as is the nature of available parking and whether or not pets are welcome.
The rents on certain apartments in the County are subject to regulation under either the County’s rent-control law or the Emergency Tenants’ Protection Act (see www.westchestergov.com) The towns in which those laws are effective and the types of apartments to which the laws apply, are set out in that website.
MANY LANDLORDS DO NOT ALLOW PETS, but some do. IF PETS ARE ALLOWED, that is also noted on the listing. Since parking can also be a problem, that item is also covered in the listings.
